Must be peaking—
The weather has been glorious—as in indescribably, hard-to-capture-on-film, can’t quite articulate, but generally speaking: perfectly spectacular. The sky is a deep blue, the smoke has cleared away, the aspens light up the hillside in–I hate to use the analogy-but blazes of color amongst the pines. It is truly remarkable. It’s hard, maybe even impossible, to drag yourself indoors to do anything: just wanna be out there in all that beauty. Thus the lack of blog entries, returned phone calls and bill paying. Apologies on all fronts. We shared this most spectacular time of year with family, in and out the last ten days. Tomorrow we head out to Twin Bridges, Montana for the weekend where we’ll stay right on the Big Hole River. Our little Pedro turns thirteen on Saturday—how did we get here so fast? We’re headed for some fishing and frisbee and other manly activities with the kids and a couple of their friends. According to the boys it’s BYOBB (bring your own bb gun.) Fortunately they have the good sense to figure out these important logistics outside of school… I’ll be the one with the two bags of targets and rotten tomatoes. Birds, I’ll keep you safe, I swear. Chipmunks, I’m trying…. And the way our fishing has been going, fish are safest of all!
Happy Columbus Day weekend–
